Roles and Responsibilities

Role: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Statutory Compliance

Location: Mumbai (Vikhroli)

Shift: 10 am – 7 pm / 11 am – 8 pm / 12 pm – 9 pm

CTC: 1080000 + variables

Desired candidate profile:

  • Good communication skills as this role would be interacting with multiple stakeholders
  • Graduation (any discipline)/ Preferably Labour Law Management equivalent course
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in the field of statutory compliance
  • Well versed with Gratuity, PF, ESI, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages Actetc
  • Knowledge of new labour codes and experience in CLRA (Contract Labour Regulation Act)
  • HR Generalist profiles will not be suitable
  • Should have some team handling experience
  • Open to hire candidate who are ready to relocate to Mumbai.
  • Job Description:

    • Primarily responsible for statutory compliance under various labour laws for Eg: Shops & establishment act, contract labour act, PF, ESI, PT, etc. across locations & entities
    • Ensuring timely completion and filing of returns / challans
    • Administer Query resolution related to payroll, PF, ESIC and full and final settlements.
    • Responsible for compliance / statutory audits.
    • Should have awareness about other Joining formalities like Compliance on boarding, salary administration, payroll etc.
    • Acquiring various licenses / exemptions from labour office from time to time.
    • Handle all disputes and grievances related to Vendor Management.
    • Meeting with Labour officers for various labour requirements to ensure compliance under various labour acts and any audit thereof.
    • Ensuring timely bank account openings, processing of reimbursements & investments.
    • External and internal audit management to ensure that no surprises occur at the time of any audits
    • Ensuring that the team members are processing the statutory forms like Form 2, Form 11, Form 9, etc. from time to time.
    • Driving process improvements & aligning various existing processed.
    • Working on various integrations & projects.
    • Preparing & releasing various reports/MIS from time to time & as and when requested.
    • Hands on experience of payroll processing.
